                        - The Law of Cause and Effect

                        - The Law of Karma

                        - Loving-kindness

                        - Compassion

                        - Meditation techniques
  • The Law of Cause and Effect has 3 components: the Cause, the Condition, and the Effect. Everything happens for a reason. We cannot change the Cause directly, but we can change the Condition that can transform a bad Cause into a good Effect.
  • The Law of Karma - Karma means action, and there are three actions: the action of the mind, the action of the mouth, and the action of the body. The mind controls the body and the mouth. We are the owner of our own actions, no one else. The mouth and the body will act upon the mind. Therefore, we must always be mindful to our actions.
  • Loving-kindness means brings happiness to others by being patient. With the heart of loving-kindness, we do not harbor hatred or ill-will to others. If we practice the loving-kindness sincerely, we do not have enemy. Buddha said: "An outside enemy exists only if there is an anger inside."
  • Compassion is to think and have empathy for others. When we see others suffer, our empathy arises. Therefore, we may feel the suffering of others, and then we would try our best to find a way to help them decreasing their suffering.
  • Meditation techniques help us to calm our mind, so we would see things clearer. In the United States, the mindfulness meditation is widely used in public schools, rehabilitation, workplace, in the big corporates, professionals, and etc... Nowadays the stress or depress is so high in our society; therefore meditation has an important role to our both physical and mental health.
